Authenticity, Grace, & Compassion
I began this series with our core value of authenticity outlining the importance of showing up as your true self, as well as being able to express your emotions and experiences as honestly as they happen. Next up was grace and its role in our ability to release judgement and shame around our experiences for lasting healing. Thirdly I discussed how compassion is the cornerstone of our practice and drives us to extend empathy, understanding, and kindness to every individual we serve. Lastly, I’ll cover our core value of Restoration.
Mariposa Core Value: Restoration
My discussion on our value of restoration comes as a last, but certainly not least topic. Restoration is ultimately our end goal at Mariposa. We want every person we work with to gain a new sense of wholeness and renewed purpose, and by partnering together, we will find rediscovered hope for a brighter future. Through our passion for helping people, evidence-based therapies, and personalized care plans, we guide our clients to rebuild their lives with new perspectives and skills. Nothing lights our fire more than seeing our clients find restoration and heal.
How will I recognize restoration through the process?
Restoration is going to look different for every person because each client comes to us with unique needs and goals. We are committed to helping you develop the tools needed for lasting wellness and healing. The evidence of restoration will often be seen in day-to-day activities and may go unnoticed to the outside world. Restoration can look like eating a healthy meal, embracing rest, taking a pause before reacting, or saying “no” when that is what is best. You will find restoration when you learn to honor and provide for your needs, and our therapists can help you reflect on what that means for you as well as teach you how to get there.
What does restoration mean for/to me?
Restoration might be my favorite of our values because I think it is underrated. When I typically think about restoration, I most often think to return to what once was. Restoration in my own healing has actually looked like a complete redefine in what my homeostasis looks like. In other words, through restoration, I have been able to establish a new baseline. I have improved my resilience and grace and hold a more defined sense of self with clear ways for me to express self-love.
