Josh Horning (he/him)
LMSW
Clinical Supervisor

My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel safe to show up as yourself. Therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you are carrying anxiety, depression, grief, stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life. My role is to help you navigate those challenges while building insight, confidence, and practical tools for meaningful change.

Helping others has always felt meaningful to me, and becoming a therapist was a natural path. Throughout my life and career, I have been drawn to roles centered around supporting people through challenges, growth, and change. I feel fortunate to do work that allows me to help people better understand themselves and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My passion for helping extends beyond client care and into clinical supervision. I am deeply motivated to help clinicians grow into the best versions of themselves while supporting them throughout their professional journey. I believe effective clinicians are always learning, refining their skills, and expanding their understanding. As a clinical supervisor, I have the privilege of supporting both established clinicians and future therapists as they build confidence, strengthen their skills, and continue evolving in their work.

How I Can Help You

One of the most rewarding parts of therapy is helping people make sense of what they are experiencing. I especially value the educational side of therapy, the moment when something clicks and a client gains a new understanding of themselves. Whether it is recognizing a pattern, understanding a diagnosis, or hearing a client say, “Wait… there’s a name for that?” Those moments can be incredibly powerful.

I use a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy, recognizing that no two people have the same experiences or needs. Together, we will identify your goals, explore the challenges you are facing, and develop strategies that feel realistic and effective for your life.

I combine evidence-based practices with real-world practicality. My goal is to help you build skills, gain confidence, and feel more equipped to navigate life’s challenges. Therapy should not just feel helpful in session, it should translate into meaningful change in your everyday life.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. You bring your lived experience, and I bring clinical knowledge, perspective, and tools to help support your growth.
